My Story
Frank McCreary is a well seasoned professional musician/vocalist hailing from Maryland. His current project is primarily working with the duo known as Mack and Slim. M&S perform a variety of acoustic driven songs that run the gamut from swing to Sting. Easy listening songs and ballads are their forte focusing on the decades from the 60's to the 90's while peppering in a taste of current country and pop songs.

From harmonies to Margaritaville.
Born in 1963, Frank started on guitar singing country harmonies with relatives in western Maryland, then around the Baltimore area. He played rock and pop through high school and college. In the late '80s he joined Cry Monday — who performed on Star Search with Ed McMahon — and stayed seventeen years, with a side project, The Late Show, named after a Jackson Browne song. He then joined Sons of Pirates, a Jimmy Buffett trio, took the lead vocal and guitar chair, and spent roughly twenty-one years in "Margaritaville." Today Frank performs solo, and as half of the duo Mack & Slim — Frank is "Mack," Danny Reaves is "Slim" — playing easy, acoustic-driven sets for festivals, clubs, and private events.

The Gear
Frank has been a PRS player since the mid-'80s: a 1988 seafoam-green bolt-on (serial #105), a 1988 cherry-burst Signature Series, and a 2001 antique-white Hollowbody 2 modified by Paul Reed Smith's own team. Acoustics are all MATON — a Master Built TE Personal, an SRS808C, and a Maton Mini. Electric processing runs through Fractal Audio (since 2017); the acoustic uses a Maton AP5 Pro pickup direct to front of house.
